Completion

1000 words sure does fly by when evaluating your work, in fact I could have wrote a lot more, as most evaluations are at least 1500 words. The fact that there was no brief for the report felt frustrating as I did not know which process to write about exactly as I have talked a lot about the process in this online journal. Anyway the report is finished as so is the module, though the stress still continues as I have much more work to complete on the final year project.

I have enjoyed this module and have hopefully completed the tasks to a high enough standard that were initially assessed.

Showreel Complete

I have finally completed my showreel. I didn’t realize how much footage I had until actually making this showreel; in fact I thought I would of have to recycle stuff to actually fit just over the minute over duration. I’m pretty pleased with what I have produced and feel it matches well with the soundtrack from “The Killers”, I tried my best to fit in the cuts with the music to keep to the beat and make it feel refreshing. I also added in some shots of my final major project, which is still in production, though I added some unfinished tests in to tease you all and make you anticipate it’s finish.

Website finished, prepare to publish!

May 2 2012 will always be remembered as the day I officially made my first ever website. I am very proud of it, and of course it could be improved, but with all the things left to do at the minute I am pretty content with what I have produced.

Check it out

The domain name sucks and I could pay to have a proper one but I will have to wait till I get paid again to sort that out.

Putting the pieces together.

With the 3D animation handed in I can focus more on this piece of work and my final major project. Found some advertising video of the Metal Work Gallery project I did in the first year of University that I will be able to attach to my showreel, as it is actually quite good, the only issue being that it’s original ratio is 4:3 and all my work since then has been produced in widescreen.

Page Complete

Spent a little time on the website design today, especially on the Curriculum Vitae page as I have finished it. Hopefully it reads a bit better then the disastrous thing that was saved as a “CV” before this one was made.

Pretty proud of this page too as it has a button that when clicked instantly downloads the CV in a word document.

Showreel Update *2

Nearly deadline day for 3D animation, and a hell of a lot more work to do for final major project still. Just been mashing footage together to get a rough example of what segmented pieces of my work look like together for my showreel. Will crack on with it as soon as the 27 is finished.
