Showreel Research

Knowing that we have to make a showreel for this module seems to be a challenging task when knowing that a lot of your own personal work isn't good enough to be broadcast to the millions of people around the world, so it's hard to decide what angle your going to go for when it comes to making this showreel as my final year project and maybe my animation and visual effects work will be the only pieces of work I will want to eventually include.

Here are a few examples I found on YouTube which caught my eye.

I love the way this showreel is put together, it's well paced shot types match the music's genre and flows beautifully! ( HECK I WOULD GIVE THEM A JOB)

Websites

For this module we have been instructed to design a website of some calibre. I will be using "Word Press" to design an online portfolio that will showcase my curriculum vitae, showreel, and also give the reader a basic understanding of my unique personality and career goals.

Basic Presentation

Today we had a presentation which was focused on you're individual background, software prefrences, and what you hope to achieve after University. We were also told that we would be producing a Showreel which would show off some of the best content you have produced over the past three years at University, though many people including myself feel as though our work we have produced isn't "Showreel" quality, thus making this module difficult. Our final year project is our last ray of hope for quality Showreel material, though our hand in for that module isn't until the 4th of May which is after the deadline for this module. In this presentation we were also asked to show our work in progress for our final year project, though I couldn't really show anything as I start filming on February 24, so I just showed Anne my "Development For Creative Practice" module work which is on my blog - www.thatsanicetrick.blogspot.com. 

The Beginning

During our first class we were each assigned to create different accounts on websites that will all be beneficial to our careers post graduation.
